What we do, and where
Navantara AI Learning Foundation is a registered nonprofit deploying an AI learning platform in government schools and Industrial Training Institutes and skill development centres in Telangana.
We were started by people who had been teaching in those classrooms and could see the same gap every week: the students were capable, and the support around them was not there. We run three programmes: school learning support, future skills and digital literacy, and employability and careers.
We work only in institutions where the state has approved our presence. Everything we report is tied to a named school, a named cohort, and a date.

About NavanTara
NavanTara AI Learning Foundation is a registered nonprofit working with government schools, Industrial Training Institutes and skill development centres. We were started by people who had been teaching in those classrooms and could see the same gap every week: the students were capable, and the support around them was not there. We build and run the technology ourselves rather than reselling someone else's, and we stay in the institutions after deployment. That is the difference between a product sale and a program.
We combine the best of educational technology — AI tutoring, digital content, smart classrooms — with deep grassroots human support: trained facilitators, community champions, and a committed teacher development system.
We work in government schools, community learning hubs, and directly with teachers and youth — not through one-time events, but through sustained, measurable programs that build lasting capacity.
Why we started
“In a government school that needed ten teachers and had three, we watched a maths teacher take an English class because nobody else could. The shortage was never ability. It was presence. And presence is the one thing AI can now offer at scale, in any language, to every child in the room at once.”
They saw not helplessness — but immense untapped potential. Students with curiosity and drive. Teachers with dedication but no tools. Communities that wanted change but had no pathway to it.
Navantara was built to be that pathway.
What makes Navantara different
We are not a school, a software company, or a charity drive. We are an innovation ecosystem for educational transformation.
Sustainable, not transactional
We build programs designed to outlast our involvement — training teachers to be self-sufficient, creating community structures, and leaving behind lasting capacity.
Technology + human depth
AI is our tool, not our answer. Every tech intervention is paired with human mentorship, teacher training, and community support structures.
Radical transparency
We publish every rupee spent, every program outcome, and every learning we've had. Our stakeholders deserve nothing less.
Child-centered design
Every program starts with the child. We conduct ethnographic research, co-design with communities, and iterate relentlessly based on what works.
Systems thinkers
We don't just put computers in schools. We work on policy awareness, teacher ecosystems, community champions, and family engagement.
Evidence-informed approach
Everything we build is grounded in learning science, EdTech research, and rigorous M&E frameworks — not assumptions.
The team behind Navantara
Educators, technologists, and changemakers who have dedicated their careers to building a more equitable India.

Saina Sunder Muthevi
Student Founder
IB Diploma student and emerging Information Science researcher exploring how technology, people, and institutions interact. Her work combines educational AI, user research, product testing, nonprofit leadership, writing, and public-interest research. Through her voluntary work with Government schools, she saw talented students held back by unequal access to quality teaching, communication skills, technology, and career guidance. Rather than accepting these gaps, she envisioned an AI-powered learning platform that could support teachers, personalize learning, and prepare students for future careers.
